Maybe your kids don’t need you the way they used to. Maybe you’ve lost someone who made you feel like yourself.
Maybe a chapter that held you for years is quietly ending, and no one handed you a map for what comes next.
That question isn’t a sign something’s wrong with you. It’s a sign something real is shifting.
THE PART NOBODY PREPARES YOU FOR
The hardest part of change isn’t the ending. It isn’t the new beginning either. It’s the space in between… where the old thing is gone, the new thing hasn’t arrived (or at least not fully arrived), and your nervous system, wired to treat uncertainty like danger, keeps pulling you back into old habits instead of letting you actually feel your way through.
That’s not a personal failing—it’s anatomy, just our biology. And it’s exactly what this program works with, not against.
THE PART NOBODY PREPARES YOU FOR
The hardest part of change isn’t actually usually the ending itself. It usually isn’t the new beginning either. It’s the space in between… where the old thing, beloved person, or identity is gone, the new chapter hasn’t arrived (or at least not fully arrived), and your nervous system, wired to treat uncertainty like danger, keeps pulling you back into old habits instead of letting you actually feel your way through.
That’s not a personal failing at all. It’s anatomy, just our biology. And it’s exactly what this program works with (not against).
A DIFFERENT WAY THROUGH
Nature has always known how to move through the in-between. A lake after deep winds settles without needing to overflow. A tree after storms bends instead of breaking. The sun rises again, no matter what came before. Wind releases constantly, without holding on. And underneath it all are grounded roots in the soil, holding steady no matter what’s happening above ground.
This offer is one hour a week for four weeks. Five archetypes are for every week, and are holding them all together. You’re supported to move through change, instead of white-knuckling your way through it, with gentle movement practices, nervous system education, and guidance from nature and archetypes.
Why four weeks, not one?
One hour can offer you insight. It can’t make that insight familiar. Real change—the kind that holds up when moments in life get particularly hard—comes from returning to the same ground again and again, until your body doesn’t have to think its way there anymore.
THAT'S WHAT THESE FOUR WEEKS ARE FOR.

Every session opens the same way: a grounding practice, re-establishing the felt sense of safety in your body before anything else. From there, each week builds a different quality:

Where are you needing to hold something without immediately draining it, shutting it down, or fixing it? We explore what it means to be with our depth with gentleness, the way a lake stays whole even when what's underneath is constantly moving.

Where are you needing some more flexibility in your life while still staying grounded and rooted? We explore how to move and be flexible to accept what is beyond our control, while still maintaining our own sense groundedness and steadiness, the way the trees do so beautifully.

Not all activation has to be overwhelming, and we are allowed to connect with our own warmth (and receive that of others). This week reclaims energy and aliveness in the ways that feel resonant and true to you.

Animals shake to discharge stress after a threat passes. Most of us skip that step. This closing week is about completing what’s unfinished, and releasing what the moment has already let go of, even if your body hasn’t caught up yet.

WHO THIS IS FOR
Anyone standing at the edge of a chapter. This may perhaps be an ending you didn't choose, a role that's shifting, a version of yourself you're not sure how to find again. You don't need any moving meditation or any archetype experience.
Elizabeth Mintun is a therapist, mindful life coach, certified qigong teacher, forest bathing guide, and the founder of The Calming Ground.
Movement meditation practices like qigong, and the wisdom of nature's archetypes, have carried her through her own seasons of transition and loss, and that lived experience shapes everything she teaches.

No. This is gentle, guided movement. No flexibility, coordination, or prior practice is required. If you can stand or sit and breathe, you can do this work.
Every session is recorded, so if Thursday at noon EST doesn't work for you that week, you can watch and practice on your own time. You'll still have access to the full arc of the four weeks.
No. This is an educational, movement-based program grounded in nervous system science, not a substitute for individual therapy or medical care. If you're currently working with a therapist, this can be a meaningful complement to that work.
Just a bit of space to move in, something to sit or stand on if you'd like, and a willingness to show up as you are that day. No equipment required.
No. The nature archetypes (Lake, Tree, Sun, Wind, and the grounding Root underneath them) are used as a way of understanding nervous system states, not as religious symbols. You're welcome here regardless of your spiritual background or beliefs.
You'll leave with a grounding practice and workbook you can return to on your own. If you want to keep going, there's an invitation to continue the work inside The Calming Ground's ongoing membership community.
Registration closes Wednesday, September 2nd, the night before the program begins. Early-bird pricing of $77 is available through Sunday, August 30th. It moves to $97 after that.
Yes. If you attend the first two sessions live and don't feel it's worth it, you can request a refund.
